.LRC lyrics workaround
Like many, I have had the Lyrics Panel 3 .lrc search break on me. I began to seek alternative options. I think I've found one that works well.
Prereqs:
Download Minilyrics from here - http://download.cnet.com/MiniLyrics/3000-2169_4-10915034.html
Install Foobar2000 plugin after install (it will prompt you with a list of your media players)
Download foo_preview from here: http://skipyrich.com/w/index.php/Foobar2000:Preview
Drag foo_preview in component file folder: mine is C:Program Files (x86)foobar2000components

Alright, after you have these two, it's fairly simple. Go to your Lyrics Panel preferences and disable any internet source. You want it only looking at locally stored lyrics.
If you're using the azlyrics plugin, I have no idea if my solution will play nice. I refused to jump on the azlyrics plugin. This assumes that azlyrics is not installed
Open MiniLyrics and make sure that the folder it's saving lyrics to is the same folder that Lyrics Panel is going to look for lyrics. This will ensure that after MiniLyrics saves .lrc files, the next time you play the song, you will have lyrics show up in the Lyrics Panel.
To do this in MiniLyrics, hit View--> Preferences--> Lyrics --> Lyrics Download --> Save Lyrics in: and specify the folder that foobar2000 looks for stored lyrics. My path was: %APPDATA%Roamingfoobar2000lyrics
Go into your foobar preferences. Under Playback you should see your foo_preview component options. The only thing you need to configure here is a preview length in which will allow MiniLyrics enough time to sniff out your lyrics. In most cases, my lyrics downloaded in less than a second, but I set the time to 5 seconds because it was legitimately fun to listen to the previews.
Save your preferences. Turn on the foo_preview playback functionality under Playback --> Preview mode.
Alternately, I guess you could mash the 'next' button after your lyrics download. But foo_preview is automated nexting.
Set playback at the root of your file folder. Turn the volume down and go to the bar for the night.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
Lrc Lyrics Download
If any of your lyrics errored out from Lyrics Panel trying to download, you should see text files in your folder with the following text: <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8' ?> <result errmsg='Search ID or Code error!' errcode='32006'></result> Delete these erroneous text files and you should display the proper lyrics if you have a matching .lrc file for your song.
Sometimes MiniLyrics aren't going to find your lyrics. There is a search functionality within the program and it will indicate if you are downloading .lrc files or not.
Sometimes MiniLyrics will save the files incorrectly. They MUST match %artist% - %title% format. For example: If your file is The Beatles - When I'm Sixty-Four and the .lrc filename is The Beatles - When I'm Sixty Four, you won't see lyrics.
