What is the Activate.iso disc?
Now the activate.iso AKA One shot boot mode, is a mode within the firmware of Ixtreme 1.6 that allows the firmware t ignore the strict stealth checks that it performs and boot an backup that may not contain stealth files or a new Wave (such as he current situation Wave 4).
What is Wave 4?
Now Wave 4 is the way that the modding scene describes a new update contained on an original Xbox 360 disc, in the case of Wave 4 this is the September update of the NXE (New Xbox Experience)
So What do i do
Okay so let's take one of the confirmed Wave 4 games Tekken 6. So you have yourself an .iso that you've burned to a Dual layer + disc using either Clone Cd or ImgBurn. (If you need help look )So now you've got your iso burned to a disc you put it into your console and it just comes up with the Xbox logo. What the hell's that all about hey? Well this is Ixtreme saying: 'this doesn't match what i know, so i'm not playing it'. So to bypass this you need to burn the activate.iso disc. Take your .iso file an open up a burning program (NERO or Imgburn, not Clone CD) you must burn the file to a Dual layer +, do not enter any layer breaks(for imgburn users)just burn as normal. (DO NOT BURN TO A DVD IT WILL NOT WORK!!)
So after you've burnt the disc you want to insert it into your console.
What! It just comes up with 'insert into a Xbox 360 to play'
Don't worry this is fine, eject your disc and put Tekken back in, and woo it boots correctly.
Notes :
If you eject the Wave 4 game you will have to put the activate.iso disc back in to play it again, this is not a permanent fix.
